Do These Five Top Things To Ensure A Prosperous New Year
We are finally wrapping this year and you might be wondering, “What should I do next year?” In today’s video I will go over the top five things you MUST do to ensure you have an amazing new year. I don't know about you, but I am extremely excited to finally wrap this year because it has been a year of growth.
Does that make sense to you? Let me know in the comments because to me, it's one of those years where I feel like I'm still catching up. I don't feel like I just went through Christmas. I don't know, but I wanted to take a moment to share with you five different things that you should be expecting from me in 2022. The same five things will also help you maximize your input and experiences.
BE MORE YOU!
The number one thing that you should expect from me is to be more introspective in 2022. To take more time off. Now, I have been accused of being a workaholic in the past, and I'm doing much better, but the tendency is to work. I love helping people. I love learning, growing, doing different things all the time.
This year I did something that I haven't done before. I took time off for Christmas, and I don't mean just from work, but I mean from life as well.
I was completely disconnected for Christmas. I was not in the mood to do Christmas. I was going to completely be depleted and I did not feel like exchanging gifts. ‘I give you a gift. You give me a gift.’ I just wasn't feeling that.
So instead of going away like I was planning and I was really excited about that, but I can always go away any other time. I stayed home by myself; did not go anywhere or do anything.
Over the break I found an amazing tomato soup recipe that I have adapted from the amazing cook Natasha. If you are not following her channel you MUST. You can print my version of the soup below:
It's amazing. It's a big recipe. So you’ll have enough soup for at least three to four days, depending on how often you eat it. I also added some gluten free croutons and it was amazing.
There are so many things we do because we feel we have to put up with, or because we don't want to rock the boat or we just want to keep the status quo. If I was bolder than I am, I would say, ‘forget the status quo’, and I would say it in a different way. But maybe you know what I mean. This status quo has kept us bound for far too long, and sometimes we don't say things because we have been conditioned to just be good girls or good boys.
And this girl right here ain't going to be doing that no more. She has had enough of being a ‘good girl,’ and I'm just going to be who I am. And I'm just going to share how I feel when I feel it. And I'm going to be taking breaks whenever I want to. Even if it happens to fall on a big, big holiday, I'm going to take care of this girl right here because I'm the person that can do that the best.
So that's what I'm going to be doing. So expect more honesty, more directness.
The second thing that I realized that you can expect from me in 2022 is proximity. As I took that time off during the Christmas break, I realized I went over all the things that I wanted to do, like writing books. I got close to people that were writing books and were really amazing at that. When I wanted to do TEDx unbeknownst to me…but I did make the decision to share with everybody and their brother that I wanted to deliver a TEDx talk the following year.
So I had to remember that I wanted to do a TEDx talk and I got close to someone that had done it before and was really actually a TEDx coach, and he helped me. And within months, I was booked to do my first TEDx stock. You can watch the second one here. And then when I wanted to pursue Ministry on a full time basis and wanted to go preach to different churches, different places, different countries and learn and study, I connected with several people and that made a big difference.
And it showed me that even though I continue to love God and I will for the rest of my life, and continue to do Ministry in a whole different way. It was not the venue that I felt called to pursue on a full time basis.. So proximity is huge for me in 2022, and that's how I got a really awesome connection in the real estate space.
If you are into and in love with real estate investing and you are looking to grow your friends in the REI business, please know that I am looking for another real estate investor accountability partner. I'm looking for people all over the US, maybe even the world that are also excited about real estate. And I want to talk about it all the time, like, I want to live it, I want to eat it. I want to be around. I want to smell it.
I want to be all around real estate. Okay. So if that's you, and you are totally obsessed and you are writing about it, reading about it, watching videos, listening to it, being about it 110%. Maybe you want to be friends with me?
I want you to think about who you are spending the majority of your time with and are those people in alignment with your goals and where you want to go? Because sometimes there's nothing wrong with people that are not in alignment. But if you are very serious about your goal, then you have to really look at who you are spending the quality time you have. ‘Who am I spending that with? Is that helping me to get where I want to go?’
And if it's not, maybe you want to make some adjustments. Maybe you want to be like, “Yeah, that friend is really awesome. But maybe I'm only going to spend 2 hours a week with them instead of five because they're not getting me closer to where I want to be. That friendship. That connection is not getting me closer to where I want to be.”
